The Proscenium Players Inc. (PPI), founded by Maizie Harris-Jesse and Jim Johns has been the longest running theater company in Carson City, Nevada. In October of 1965, the group was formed and produced it's first show Tobacco Road at the Civic Auditorium. 

Pictured are the first charter officers, who were President Col. Troy Shelby, Vice President Mrs. Keith Kellison, Treasurer Mrs.James A. Stevens, Secretary Joe Lawson and main Producer-Director Jim Johns.
